Wicked has been such an incredible experience. I am so happy that I got to go on last night. It was a surprise. Nicole has been so strong and I really had settled with the fact that my last 3 I had would end up being my last. But I can't tell you how wonderful last night was! First of all, the audience!! I don't know where they came from, but I think it might have been one of the best houses I've ever had. They were so responsive and with us. I think the energy was amped up on stage because everyone knew it was most possibly my last show with the company. And I was definitely living it! My goal was to just enjoy it, enjoy her. Live in it and have fun! And that's what I did. I just love the role so much and the cast is so incredible and supportive. What a great show it was!!

As you know, Wicked for me has been full of some ups and downs, some hopes and some disappointments…but overall I am so grateful for it and for the opportunities I have received from it. Most of all, the opportunity to play Elphaba which has been one of the most fulfilling stage experiences as an actor I have ever had. You all know how much I love the role and how at home I feel in it. I do hope to revisit it someday, but when/if that happens…only the universe knows. So keep your fingers crossed that someday perhaps I will get to live in her again….but for now I will just remember it with fond memories and it's time to move on to whatever comes next.

Speaking of next…I am so happy to announce that I will going to The Guthrie in March to perform in “Caroline or Change.” First of all, The Guthrie is such a reputable place to work. It has an amazing record of putting on terrific productions and I am thrilled to have the honor of working there. Secondly… “Caroline or Change!” If you don't know this show check it out. It is an incredible piece! I remember seeing it on Bdway and it blew me away! It's sung thru and very unique and beautiful….content and music. Tony Kushner will be working with us which I am TOTALLY excited about and humbled by. And I'm excited to be playing this role. I am playing Rose, the Jewish stepmother to the young boy in the house. I don't think I could book a role that is more different from Elphaba if I tried. It will be a stretch for me and a challenge. Like nothing I've ever played and I'm so excited to tackle it! So cheers to booking another job in this economy! I am just so grateful! Thank you!!!

Also, I wanted to say thanks to all those who came out to my solo show I did at The Triad “Julie Reiber Uncovered.” And for those who missed it, don't worry. I do plan on doing it again when I'm back in the summer. I had such fun and I want to hone it a bit more and perhaps do it again at another venue. I also have plans to get my own music out there. I will be practicing, practicing my guitar in Minneapolis so I can be ready to gig a bit when I come back. So stay tuned for that!!

Thanks again for all the love and support. I'll write another blog from Minneapolis once the show is up and going to tell you how fabulous it is!! Till then….
